founded in February 1981 as a professional foreign trading enterprise specializing
in the scientific and education fields.
It is a state - held subsidiary of the Oriental
Scientific Instruments (Group) Corporation (OSIC) ,
and with proportional ownership held by its employees and the Shanghai branch of the Chinese
Academy of Sciences (CAS).
SHETMIL, with over $100 million USD in annual revenue, is one of OSIC’s main
subsidiaries. Its operations include import and export, overseas product
distribution, consignment sales, foreign equipment maintenance stations, and a
